(Ottumwa, IA) -- John Deere is planning what the company calls a temporary inventory adjustment shutdown at one of it's plants.

The ag equipment manufacturer says workers at Deere Ottumwa Works will be furloughed from early December through early January due to reduced customer demand.

John Deere Ottumwa makes hay and forage equipment.

Deere has cited reduced demand for layoffs in Ankeny, Dubuque, Waterloo, and Davenport this year.
