(Ankeny, IA) -- An Ankeny man is facing a theft charge in a stolen recliner case. Police were called November 16, 2024 about two recliners, still in original packaging, taken from behind Real Deals, at 315 SW Maple Street in Ankeny.
Police say surveillance footage showed a man leaving the area on a bicycle, pulling a trailer to transport the big chairs, one at a time.
Detectives investigating this case received tips from the public on his identification, and 39-year-old Jerrel Fenoglio Jr. was charged with Theft 5th, a simple misdemeanor. Both recliners were recovered and will be returned to their rightful owner.
