The Omaha Police Traffic Unit makes an arrest in connection with a hit -and -run investigation from earlier this week.
Police say they have arrested 27- year-old Jerry Herrera of Omaha.
He's accused of hitting the victim in a marked crosswalk near 40th and Cuming Streets Monday afternoon and then leaving the scene.
Herrera's booked for leaving the scene of a personal injury crash causing serious bodily injury related to this incident and two unrelated warrants.
