Omaha Police say a sexual assault suspect is in custody, but investigators believe there could be additional victims.

OPD says 21-year-old Dash Lansdale is under arrest in connection with a sexual assault that occurred near 62nd and Maple Streets on Tuesday, November 19th.

The victim reported she was walking when the suspect attacked her from behind and sexually assaulted her.

Witnesses saw the disturbance and came to the victim's aid as the suspect left the area on foot to the Northwest.

Police say the suspect was described as a white male with a slender build, brownish red long hair and facial hair, wearing a dark long sleeve shirt, and light colored sweatpants.

With help from a Crime Stoppers tip, investigators with the OPD Special Victims Unit determined Lansdale was the suspect.

He was found this week and booked for first degree sexual assault and attempted robbery.

Anyone who may have been a victim, or has more information is urged to contact the Omaha Police Department's Special Victims Unit at 402-444-5636.
