The regular season for both schools wraps up today with the traditional "Black Friday" football game between Nebraska and Iowa.

Kick off at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City is 6:30 p.m., and the game will be televised on NBC and peacock.

The 14th annual "Heroes Game" match -up will factor into bowl game destinations for the Huskers and Hawkeyes.

Edgar Estrada of Bertrand, Nebraska, who rescued a baby from a hot car at the Merrick County Fairgrounds, is Nebraska’s 2024 Citizen Hero, and he will be honored during the game.

Perry High School Principal Dan Marburger, who died from injuries he suffered in January's school shooting, is Iowa's 2024 Citizen Hero.

Police say he put himself in harm's way trying to stop the shots from being fired.

Citizen Heroes are selected for the positive impact they have had on their community and for inspiring others.
