Holiday Season Brings More Traffic Enforcements

With the 2024 Thanksgiving holiday traffic enforcements in the books, an effort that focused on seat belt use, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office now quickly looks ahead through the Christmas-New Years holiday season.

The Sheriff's Office says Deputies will be out in force as part of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.

The campaign will run from December 11th through New Years Day and will be specifically focused on removing impaired drivers from the roadways.
