Iowa quarterback Cade McNamara is entering the transfer portal, and will seek a seventh season of college eligibility.
The Senior played in eight games this season, throwing for more 1,000 yards and six touchdowns. He missed the last four games of the regular season with a concussion.
McNamara made the announcement on Wednesday on Instagram.
McNamara transferred to Iowa before the 2023 season after three years at Michigan. He led the Wolverines to the Big Ten championship and a College Football Playoff berth in 2021.
He would need an eligibility waiver from the NCAA to play an extra season.
