Violent Crime Down In Cedar Rapids

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Violent crime is down in Cedar Rapids according to new data released by the CRPD.

The numbers comparing the first 11 months of 2024 to the same time period last year show homicides are down about 88-percent with only one this year compared to eight last year.

Thefts from vehicles, burglaries, aggravated assaults, and shots fired incidents are down as well.
