Iowa Man Charged W/Attempted Murder After Shooting

(Undated) -- A Warren County man's in critical condition after a shooting in central Iowa. The Clarke County Sheriff's Office says 35-year-old Tyler Sutton of rural New Virginia was shot yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. Thirty-two-year-old George Douglas of Woodburn, Iowa is charged with Attempted Murder in the case. He's also charged with Going Armed with Intent and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

The Clarke County Sheriff's Office says a 9-1-1 call came in early Thursday afternoon about the shooting, from Douglas. First responders found Tyler Sutton suffering from a gunshot wound at a home in rural New Virginia (1066 315th Avenue). He was flown to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
