President Biden Commutes Sentence Of Dixon Embezzler

(Dixon, IL) -- A woman sentenced to 20 years in prison for embezzling over 50-million dollars and using the money to start a show horse farm is being set free.

President Biden is commuting the sentence of Rita Crundwell, the former Comptroller for Dixon, about 60 miles east of the Quad Cities.

Crundwell was convicted in 2013 and released to a halfway house in 2021. She was eligible for parole in 2028.
