Nebraska officially announces it will open its 2025 football season next August 28th against the Cincinnati Bearcats at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
The kickoff time and television network will be determined during the Big 12 Conference television selection in the spring.
The NU-Cincinnati game is a Bearcats’ home game originally set for their campus.
It was moved to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis before the change to the iconic home of the NFL Chiefs.
Nebraska and Cincinnati also announced they have changed the date of a previously scheduled game that was to be at Nebraska Memorial Stadium.
The teams will now meet in Lincoln on Sept.10th, 2033, after originally being scheduled to play in the 2032 season.
Tickets for the Nebraska-Cincinnati contest will go on sale this week. All tickets will be sold online at www.chiefs.com/tickets/ and www.ticketmaster.com.
No tickets will be sold through the Nebraska Athletic Ticket Office.
Nebraska and Cincinnati season ticket holders will receive the first opportunity to purchase tickets, beginning Tuesday, at 9 a.m.
A public on-sale for tickets will begin on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
More details on ticket information will be communicated to Nebraska season ticket holders today in advance of the Tuesday pre-sale.
