Clive Mail Drop Box Vandalized, Mail Stolen

(Clive, IA) -- Clive Police say someone broke into a mail drop box and made off with the mail inside. Police say it happened at the drop box on 108th Street, sometime between Sunday, December 15th at 5:30 p.m. and around 7 a.m. Monday morning, December 16th. Those who think their mail might have been stolen are asked to contact Clive Police. It's also recommended that addressees be contacted to limit exposure to fraud or theft.

Clive Police are working with the United State Postal Inspectors and following up with local businesses to review video footage.

federal offense punishable by a $250,000 fine and five years in Federal Prison.
