Iowa Among Top States for First-Time Property Buyers

(Iowa) -- Iowa is one of the best states in the nation for first-time property buyers.

Real Estate CRM REsmipli looked at new data from the U.S. Census, the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. The study finds Iowa is the second best state in the nation to buy your first property. The median home value in Iowa is $194,600, with a typical deposit of roughly $28,000.

It takes about two years and one month on average in Iowa to save for a typical down payment.
