(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island County Coroner is identifying the man killed in an officer-involved shooting Sunday in Rock Island.
Twenty-two year-old Jakarta Jackson died after Rock Island Police say they tried to detain him near 12th Street and 24th Avenue.
Investigators say Jackson jumped into a running car, dragging an officer, who then shot him.
The officer has been placed on administrative leave while an investigation is underway.
