(Walcott, IA) -- The owners of the Iowa 80 World's Largest Truckstop say they had a clean-up plan in place for dealing with a potential spill from their million-gallon diesel storage tank, but it hadn't been signed by an engineer.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is fining the Walcott truck-stop just over 200-thousand-dollars for the violation.

The EPA says the required response plans, training programs, and drills to prepare for spills weren't in place during a 2023 inspection.
