(Iowa City, IA) -- An Iowa City recreation center is now on the National Register of Historic Places.
The Robert A. Lee Recreation Center is now included on the national list. An application was approved by the National Park Service on December 5th of last year. The building is being recognized as a architecturally significant building first designated as a public space in 1839.
