(Springfield, IL) -- Illinois legislators are considering a new law that would change driving test requirements for seniors.
The proposed Road Safety Fairness Act would raise the age at which older Illinois drivers need to get their driving skills re-tested from 79 to 87.
Supporters say the crash rate data for older drivers is lower than everyone else.
Opponents say that's too much time between road tests.
