(Des Moines, IA) -- A new national study ranks Des Moines the top city in the country for finance graduates.
The study conducted by Journo Research and financial website Plus 500 looked at nearly 387 communities across the country and found the Des Moines metro the best place to live for those looking for jobs in finance. In the Des Moines metro, the average salary for workers in the financial industry is $88,715 per year, which is 41 percent higher than the metro's overall average salary.
Financial workers in the Des Moines Metro spend only 11.8% of their income on rent.
