American Lung Association Gives Iowa Low Grades on Tobacco Use

(Iowa) -- The American Lung Association releases its 50 state report card on tobacco use.

Iowa received and F grade in the categories of tobacco prevention funding, flavored tobacco products, and tobacco taxes. The state got a D when it comes to services to help people quit smoking. Iowa scored highest when it comes to having smoke-free air, receiving a B grade. Smoking is banned in Iowa government and private workplaces, bars, restaurants, and schools, but is allowed in casinos.))

The American Lung Association is recommending Iowa close the casino loophole.
