(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids is updating the Flood Control Plan again.

The city has tweaked the plans ten times over the past decade to allow for refinements as the project goes along.

The city is still looking at a $300-500-million dollar funding gap.

The Corps of Engineers has picked up 65% of the estimated $1.1-billion cost with the city shouldering 35%.

The damage from the 2008 flood was estimated at $5.4-billion.
