Omaha I-480 Bridge Ramp Closure Delayed By Forecast

Closures on the I-480 Missouri River bridge exit ramp to Dodge Street into downtown Omaha are being rescheduled due to a possible blizzard in the Wednesday forecast.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation says it’s moving the closure to next Tuesday, March 25th.

It was originally scheduled for Tuesday.

The ramp is expected to remain closed for six weeks while crews paint and perform bridge deck repairs.

Overall construction on the I-480 Missouri River Bridge Omaha project is anticipated to be complete by fall of 2026.

There is also major work related to the streetcar project on surface street bridges over I-480 west of downtown.
