(Davenport, IA) -- With a Wednesday deadline looming for Americans to have REALID or an accepted alternative as an option to board a plane, most Iowans are ready.

The Iowa Department of Transportation says 76% of residents have upgraded to the Driver's License with a star in the corner.

Nationwide that number is 56%.

There are 15 other acceptable forms of ID travelers can use as an alternative, including a passport, military ID, or a U.S. travel card.

TSA says travelers without an accepted ID may face delays, extra screening or not be allowed to board at all.
