(Des Moines, IA) -- Iowa state lawmakers worked through the night and into this Thursday morning in an effort to pass a new state budget and end the overtime legislative session.

Our State Capitol Correspondent, JD Snover, is at the Capitol this morning and tells us lawmakers in both the House and Senate have spent the evening approving spending blueprints for individual state departments.

Snover says there has been no further movement on the property tax reform bill.

The final push this morning is for both chambers to approve a bill for recurring state expenses, which includes funding for special projects in lawmakers' districts.

Lawmakers are expected to approve a total of $9 billion in state spending for the budget year that begins July 1.
