(Rock Island, IL) -- Rock Island Police say an officer is recovering from injuries sustained while being dragged trying to stop a teen from stealing his squad car.
Police report that a K9 officer was still in the stolen squad car when the teen fled from the intersection of 7th Avenue and 15th Street to Davenport in the vehicle.
It was found abandoned on Dixwell Street.
Davenport Police say they arrested an 18 year-old and a 16 year-old suspect at a home nearby.
The K9 officer was uninjured.
