(Des Moines, IA) -- Three people are dead and another person is hospitalized following a house fire on Des Moines's southeast side in the Easter Lake Area Neighborhood.
Des Moines police say officers and the fire department responded to a fire in the 6700 block of Three Lakes Parkway.
Parts of the roof fell in and the front of the house was completely charred. The house was fully engulfed with flames.
Neighbors at the scene tell WHO that they woke up to other neighbors knocking on their door, and saw the flames.
They say that the family was running a daycare inside the home.
Several people were able to escaped and investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
