Des Moines, IA — A variety of events are taking place across the Des Moines Metro this Memorial Day Weekend.
- The Iowa High School State Track and Field Championships began Thursday and continue through Saturday at Drake Stadium.
- CelebrAsian 2025, Iowa’s largest celebration of Asian heritage, kicks off today (Friday) at Western Gateway Park and runs through Saturday.
- Principal Park will host a Spring Summer Concert tonight and again on Saturday evening.
- The Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market will continue Saturday morning.
Des Moines police are reminding motorists to watch for increased pedestrian traffic and temporary road closures near event locations.
