A settlement has been reached between the family of an 11-year-old boy who drowned at Adventureland and the park's former owners.

The trial was scheduled to start on Monday with jury selection.

Michael Jaramillo of Marion died in 2021 when the raft he was riding on the Raging River ride overturned. His family sued the former owners of Adventureland, accusing them of not training workers and making unauthorized modifications to the ride.

Details of the settlement have not been released.
