(Fort Dodge, IA) - A woman from Iowa accused of intentionally harming her infant son over several months is scheduled to appear in court.

22-year-old Emma Swanson is facing multiple charges, including child endangerment and willful injury, after allegedly depriving her three-month-old son of food and medical care from July to October of last year. Her son was later diagnosed with failure to thrive. She is currently being held in the Carroll County Jail on a $35,000 bond. A bond review hearing is scheduled for today, June 9.

Swanson has pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, she could face up to 35 years in prison.
