(Des Moines, IA) -- Two people were taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries following an early morning apartment fire on Des Moines’ north side.
According to Captain Stacia Swanson of the Des Moines Fire Department, the fire was reported around 1:50 a.m. Thursday at an apartment in the 1800 block of 9th Street. The two individuals were treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. No other injuries have been reported.
