(Des Moines, IA) -- The City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department is temporarily closing two trail segments due to flooding in the area.
The Walnut Creek Trail is closed from Center Street to the Grand Avenue Bridge, and Bill Riley Trail is closed from the Walnut Creek Connector to Water Works Park. The city says it expects additional closures through the weekend as it continues to monitor water levels.
