(Iowa) -- Heavy rain overnight lead to some road closures and flash flood warnings in the Des Moines metro area Wednesday morning.
Some of the top rain totals include 3.37 inches near Greenfield, 4.24 inches at Earlham, and 5.98 inches at Stuart.
A flash Flood Warning was issued by the National Weather Service just after 5:00 a.m. for much of the Western Des Moines Metro area.
Standing water was reported on parts of I-80 near Earlham and on 80 just west of West Des Moines.
Other locations experiencing reports of flash flooding include West Des Moines, Urbandale, Clive, Waukee, Grimes, Creston, Winterset, Adel, Greenfield, Stuart, Dallas Center, Earlham, Granger, De Soto, Van Meter, Jordan Creek Town Center, Redfield, and Adair.
