(Des Moines, IA) -- A fire in Saylor Township Monday evening destroyed a local business. The flames could be seen from I-80-35.
Lieutenant Mark Chance of the Polk County Sheriff's Office says a furniture restoration business was housed in the warehouse that caught fire.
He says they don't believe anyone was inside and the building is a total loss. Chance says the seven local fire departments that responded kept the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
The Saylor Fire Department will head the investigation.
