(Des Moines, IA) – The Simpson College Board of Trustees has named an interim president for the 2025–2026 school year.
Dr. Susan D. Stuebner previously served as president and professor of business and social sciences at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire.
Acting President Terry Handley will return to his previous position as chair of Simpson College’s Board of Trustees, a role he resumed after the passing of President Jay Byers in April.
The college says it is possible that Dr. Stuebner could become Simpson’s permanent president, but that decision will be made following a board review later this year.
Dr. Stuebner will officially begin her duties on July 28.
