(Davenport, IA) -- Some Davenport residents will have to put up with train horns a little longer.

City Council is putting off a vote on spending 4-million dollars to create train quiet zones downtown.

City staff say they need more time to finalize a contract with CPKC Railway to install gates and lights at 12 railroad crossings between Mound and Marquette Streets.
