(Des Moines, IA) -- A second man has been arrested for multiple crimes last weekend in Des Moines.
City police say 18-year old Elijah Gates has been charged in connection with attempted vehicle thefts and a shooting that riddled a family's home and car on Saylor Road with a dozens of bullets.
Gates has also been charged with possession of a stolen firearms and the assault of a woman on July 29th.
Another Des Moines man, 20-year old Michael Hargrove, was arrested earlier this week in connection with the crime spree.
Both Hargrove and Gates remain held in the Polk County Jail.
