Des Moines Police Release Advisory Regarding Potential Snake Sighting

(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Police Department says its Animal Services Unit has conducted searches in the Waterbury Neighborhood after resident reports of a large snake in the area.

DMPD says anyone who sees that they believe is a python, they should stay away from the animal and call police. The police department says the Animal Services Unit has consulted with reptile experts and have a plan ready if the snake is found.
