(Colona, IL) -- Federal regulators say Quad Cities nuclear plant staff falsified records and broke safety rules during a coolant leak that sprayed water on two workers.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission investigators found serious gaps in training, oversight, and emergency response at Constellation Energy's Colona, Illinois plant after a valve left in the wrong position caused the leak two-and-a-half years ago.
The NRC says Constellation must update its safety policies and guidelines.
