(West Des Moines, IA) -- Census workers will be knocking on doors in West Des Moines by the end of the week.
Census workers will be knocking on the doors of West Des Moines residents who did not fill out an online questionnaire as directed by mailings sent out earlier this year. The city says census workers should have a valid ID badge and will never ask for things like residents' social security numbers, financial information, or political affiliation. The goal of the census is to identify how funding is allocated throughout the city.
Workers will be out in the community from 9am to 9pm on weekdays and weekends throughout the duration of the partial special census.
More information about the West Des Moines partial Special Census is available on the City of West Des Moines website.
