Terroristic Threats Arrest At Elkhorn R. Access Point

Larry Workman

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office says a man accused of pointing a handgun at people and making terroristic threats faces charges.

Employees for a tubing company, who were near the Elkhorn River West Maple Road Access Park, told Deputies they saw the suspect, 64-year-old Larry Workman, fishing off of a ramp on Saturday.

They say they asked him to leave since tubers would be getting out of the river at that point, but Workman then pointed a gun at them.

He was taken into custody by deputies during a traffic stop a short time later.

Workman was booked on three counts of terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony.

Investigators say there were two other guns in the suspect's vehicle
