Theresa Greenfield Named CEO of Invest DSM

(Des Moines, IA) -- The nonprofit neighborhood revitalization group Invest DSM has named Theresa Greenfield its new Chief Executive Officer.

Greenfield will lead the organization's efforts to strengthen Des Moines neighborhoods by combining public and private funding to support homeowners and local businesses.

Greenfield most recently served as the Iowa State Director for USDA Rural Development after being appointed by President Biden in 2021. Prior to her government service, she was the president of Colby Real Estate, where she managed a $100 million portfolio.

In a statement announcing the hire, Des Moines Mayor and Invest DSM Board member Connie Boesen said Greenfield's extensive background in community and economic development made her the top candidate for the role. More information about the organization's mission can be found at the Invest DSM website.
