Iowa State University Police Department says reports of an active shooter on campus are false.

In a post on social media, ISU PD says officers responded promptly Monday morning after receiving several calls and found no credible threat.

They also say the calls appear to be similar to several anonymous and false “swatting calls” at universities across the country, triggering a response from law enforcement.
