(Scott County, IA) -- A judge is granting a motion to release a Quad Cities cold case suspect from jail.
Fifty year-old Jamison Fisher is charged with what prosecutors say is the strangling death of 11 year-old Trudy Appleby in 1996.
Scott County, Iowa Attorney Kelly Cunningham filed the motion so that Fisher can be transferred to Henry County, Illinois to stand trial for the nearly three-decade-old murder.
Fisher is being held in Scott County Jail on a drug charge. Cunningham says he'll be returned there after the Appleby trial.
