With the Labor Day Holiday weekend approaching and law enforcement agencies already in special enforcement operations, the Nebraska State Patrol says the rate of excessive speeding remains high.
On "X," the Patrol says In the last 10 days, troopers have stopped 55 people for speeding at over 100 MPH, including a driver who was traveling nearly double the speed limit in the Omaha metro.
In the first ten days of this Labor Day holiday "Drive Sober, Or Get Pulled Over" campaign, troopers have also arrested 38 people for driving under the influence.
