(Ames, IA) -- Iowa State tailgating will have to be moved again now that CyTown is under construction.
“We are in the process of assessing where that area is getting relocated to. Obviously, for the last couple of years that is where it has been. It’s now relocated to the Scheman Courtyard, but it’s going to have to be relocated again,” said Nick Joos, Iowa State University Senior Associate Athletics Director.
Football tailgates used to be held in the parking lot where the CyTown development is now being built. Tailgating will have to be moved again as construction continues, because a hotel is planned for the Scheman Courtyard.
Joos tells WHO Radio News that they are in the process of figuring out where to move the football tradition and hope to have a final spot in the next few months.
