(Rock Island, IL) -- The union representing civilian employees on the Rock Island Arsenal wants their bargaining rights reinstated.
The American Federation of Government Employees Local 2119 is sending a letter to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth asking him to reverse parts of an executive order signed by the President in March.
The executive order removes bargaining rights under a 1978 law citing national security concerns.
The union says stripping away those rights is what undermines national security.
