(Des Moines, IA) -- Democrat Catelin Drey has officially been sworn into the Iowa Senate, representing Senate District 1.

Drey won the August 26 special election and now fills the seat left vacant by Republican Senator Rocky De Witt, who died of pancreatic cancer in June 2025 at the age of 66.
