(Altoona, IA) -- The Altoona Wal-mart is closed today after a fire in the store Thursday night.
Witnesses say flames erupted from a bathroom in the rear of the store and spread into the sales shelves outside the restroom. Video on social media shows flames as the store filled with thick smoke.
Multiple fire crews responded. The store was evacuated and sprinklers put the flames out. There are no reports of injuries.
Police dispatch indicates the fire inspector was called in.
