Quad Cities Centennial Bridge Lights Go Dark For Migrating Birds

(Davenport, IA) -- A Quad Cities river crossing has gone dark this week.

The group River Action, who maintains the lights on the Centennial Bridge over the Mississippi between Rock Island and Davenport, says they've been turned off to avoid distracting migrating birds.

The lights will remain off until October 15th.
