(Tiffin, IA) -- A special census for one eastern Iowa city is on hold because of the government shutdown.
The U.S. Census Bureau is undertaking a special count in Tiffin due to what city leaders say is a quadrupling of the population over the past two decades.
Residents receiving letters with instructions to go to the census website are finding it unavailable.
The city says if you have a letter, hang on to it until the government shutdown ends.
