The community is demanding safer trails and changes to intersections after a cyclist was killed Thursday morning.
Police say forty-four-year-old Courtney Petersen of Ankeny was crushed by a dump truck while riding her bike across an intersection on the High Trestle Trail and 44th St. near Polk City.
BIKEIOWA says it's the most dangerous intersection on the trail because the road crests on either side of the crossing.
